Mykonos - Santorini

1st Day: Athens – Mykonos
Arrival and departure for Piraeus port or Athens airport depending on your choice for Mykonos, the islands of winds as it is known. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free day at your disposal. Overnight.


2nd Day: Optional Tour: Mykonos City Walk & Island Tour
Starting the City-and Island tour by walking the small and narrow streets, we have many  possibilities to take nice photographs in the early morning, quiet city. We get orientation und information in the labyrinth of the old town as well as impressions of the small port and the churches in town. Of course we will see the famous wind-mills and find Petros The Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos. After this we are exploring the island with a bus, visiting some of the most famous beaches and the inner landscape. We see fishermen and kaikis, small private chapels and houses built in typical Cycladic style. In the second main village of Mykonos, Ano Mera, an idyllic place 6km from town, where the guests 
have enough free time for a stroll around the traditional square and they can visit the monk monastery  Panagia Tourliani built in the 16th century. Next stop is Kalafatis beach were there is time to  relax a little and have a coffee or a refreshment (not included in the price),  before going back to town and to reach a place with a fantastic view all over the  town and neigh-bour islands.

3rd Day: Optional Full day: Full Day Cruise to Delos Island
A half-day trip, including the services of a professional guide, to the sacred island of Apollo and Artemis, a famous political and religious center in Antiquity. The whole territory of the deserted Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites of the eastern Mediterranean protected by Unesco as one of the Unesco heritage sites of the world. You may visit, amongst others, the remains of the Temples of Apollo, the sanctuary of Artemis, the old city and the theatre and then, walk down the celebrated Lion Street. Also, in the museum of Delos, you can admire Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman Sculptures, a collection of vessels rom all periods as well as small items of everyday use.

4th Day: Athens – Santorini
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for departure to Santorini, one of the most famous islands in the world. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free day at your disposal. Overnight.


5th Day: Optional Tour: Caldera Cruise & Oia Sunset Tour
You will go by bus to Athinios port where we board the boat King Thiras, which will sail to the lava islet Nea Kameni. You will walk an ascending soil path to approach the crater of the still active Volcano. Then back to the boat and you sail to the second lava islet called Palea Kameni, where you find Hot Springs. Here, you will have an opportunity to swim in the green sulphur waters. Then set sail for the island of Thirassia. There you can explore the island or swim at the beach next to the port. We stay for about one hour and then the boat will sail close to the caldera cliffs, so you will have the chance to take excellent photographs. After Thirassia, the boat sails on to Oia, where you stay to admire the spectacular sunset. Then you will return to their hotels by bus from Oia after the sun has set.

6th Day: Optional Full day: Santorini History & Wine Tour
Visit the Akrotiri Excavations, a prehistoric city from the Bronze Age, frozen in time by ash during the minoan volcanic eruption 3,600 years ago. Some speculate that this is the origin of Atlantis – a mythical city, lost in time. The large extent of the settlement, the elaborate drainage system, the sophisticated multi-storeyed buildings with the magnificent wall-paintings, furniture and vessels, show its great development and prosperity. In Akrotiri, the excavations revealed evidence of winemaking, estimated from the 3rd Millenium BC., placing Santorini as one of the oldest winemaking regions in the planet. Continue the discovery at the vineyards of Santorini, visit the low vines and learn about the unique viticulture. Enter 3 traditional wineries and taste a selection of 12 different wine styles from Santorini & Greece such as Assyrtiko, Nykteri and the legendary sweet delight, Vinsanto.

7th Day: Santorini - Athens
Breakfast & Transfer to airport or port for departure back to your home country.
